Staying safe on Bity Gig

Gigs, posts, profiles and messages on Bity Gig come from its members, not from Bity Gig. Most people are here to get honest work done. These few rules keep you clear of the few who are not.

Never pay to get a gig

Bity Gig never asks you to pay to get a gig, and a real gig never needs your money first. Anyone who asks for a deposit, a training or equipment fee, a background-check fee or a starter kit before you can start is running a scam. So is anyone who wants to be paid in gift cards, crypto or a wire transfer, or who sends you a check and asks you to send some of it back.

Keep your accounts and codes to yourself

Never share your bank details, card numbers, sign-in codes, passwords, your recovery phrase or your PIN with anyone. Bity Gig will never ask for them in a message, email, text or call.

Meet safely

For in-person work, meet somewhere public the first time when you can, tell someone you trust where you are going, and leave if something feels wrong. If you are in danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.

Report anything odd

If a gig, a profile, a post or a message looks wrong, or someone asks you to pay, to share a code or to move the chat to another app, report it in the app:

  • On a gig, a profile or a conversation, tap ⋯ and choose Report.
  • On a post, tap ⋯ on the post.
  • In a crew chat, press and hold the message and choose Report.

Reports go to Bity Gig for review.
